Residents are invited to attend a public meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Daisy Stocking Park (550 Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Blvd.) to discuss the MMB Streetscape. The project manager and contractor will be present to share project details and timeline.
The streetscape, which started on Nov. 16, is improving aesthetics and walkability on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard (MMB) from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to Ridgewood Avenue. Crews are currently removing the elm trees that will be replaced with vibrant crape myrtles. As part of the $291,300 project, pavers will also be leveled and new benches and trash receptacles will be added. Learn more and follow for project updates at www.codb.us/MMBStreetscape.
