U.S. News & World Report recently released rankings for Best Places to Live & Retire 2020-21. The annual list ranks 150 metro areas in the United States based on each area’s quality of life and the job market, as well as the value of living there and people’s desire to live there.
Thirteen Florida cities rank in the top 25 as the best places to retire with Daytona Beach featured at #15 in the country. In addition, our community was the ranked at #12 for the Best Place to Live in Florida.
Daytona Beach nabbed the #6 spot as the fastest growing places making it the highest ranked city in Central Florida. Fort Myers tied with Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, for the top spot followed by Naples, Sarasota and Ocala. Lakeland; Port St. Lucie; Fort Collins, Colorado; and Austin, Texas; round out the top ten.
