Funding is still available for Daytona Beach residents needing financial assistance with their monthly rent payments. There is about $206,500 remaining for disbursement in the popular program. In the first seven weeks since introducing the city’s rental assistance program, 324 households were assisted representing a total assistance awarded of $411,939. The average rental payment is $899.
The rental assistance program is intended to provide financial relief to residents impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Appointments must be made to submit completed applications and provide documentation. Appointments can be made by calling Central Florida Community Development Corporation at (386) 226-1216 or Mid-Florida Housing Partnership Corporation at (386) 274-4441, ext. 301 and 304.
