[ARCHIVED] Registration for summer camps June 1-5

WEB_Camps May 28 2020

The city’s popular summer camp program will begin Monday, June 8, and continue through Friday, Aug. 7, with new safety protocols in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The nine-week program is for children ages 5 to 16 years old, and will be from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Breakfast and lunch, sports, crafts and games are provided at the summer camp. Due to COVID-19, camp participation will be reduced to 50% occupancy, and there are no field trips planned for participants.

There are four sites in Daytona Beach for the summer camps:

  • Midtown Community Center, 925 George Engram Blvd.
  • Sunnyland Park, 825 Washington St.
  • YSG Community Center, 1000 Vine St.
  • Ortona Playground, 1206 N. Halifax Ave.

Registration for the summer camp will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning Monday, June 1, through Friday, June 5, at the four camp locations. Appointments are not required to register youth for the summer camp, and registration is in person ONLY at the four camp locations (no registration at City Hall or online). Registration for a summer camp spot is on a first come, first served basis. The cost is $270 per child. The summer camp registration fee has been waived for this year. A weekly payment plan of $30 per week is available. Save time by completing the registration form ahead of time (download, print and bring completed form to register). For more information, please call 386-671-8337.
