At last week’s City Commission meeting, updates on several city projects were provided including the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. road improvements and streetscape that is almost at the finish line. Substantial completion of the $2.67 million improvement from Orange Avenue to International Speedway Boulevard (ISB) on MLK is expected at the beginning of June. The Beach Street Streetscape has also proceeded at an accelerated pace on the east side of Beach Street with Phase 1 and Phase 2 substantially complete, which is from Orange Avenue to ISB, and Phase 3 underway from ISB to Bay Street.
