More than 22,800 utility customers within the city limits of Daytona Beach will receive a credit on their April statement for the amount of water, sewer, recycling and public service tax. Not included in the credit will be fees associated with stormwater, solid waste and the landfill.
The reduction in the utility bill is part of the city’s COVID-19 Assistance Recovery Effort or CARE program, which was approved by the City Commission at their March 24 meeting. CARE provides immediate financial relief to Daytona Beach residents and business owners impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Reducing utility bills to our accounts within the city limits is one of three different incentives in the CARE program. For more details on the CARE program, visit this page.
