[ARCHIVED] Cypress Pool closes for resurfacing, Feb. 24

Cypress Pool Highlight

The city’s pool at the Cypress Aquatic Center will close Monday, Feb. 24, to be refurbished and resurfaced as part of its overall maintenance schedule. The improvements include resurfacing the kiddie and competition swimming pools and repairing and replacing all drains and tiles, as needed. The project also includes removing and reinstalling all accessory items such as ropes, floats and ladders The work should take about a month to be completed. Residents wanting to swim while the pool is being resurfaced can use the pool at the Campbell Aquatic Center, which is kept at a refreshing 83 degrees and has lane lines for lap swimmers. The pool is located at 400 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and is open from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
