The public is invited to a meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at City Hall (room 149B) to learn about the Lift Station 34 Replacement Project at 510 Ora St. The project includes the addition of an electrical/office building, construction of a wet well with four new submersible pumps (one serving as a dedicated standby during high-flow events) and installation of a new emergency generator in a sound-attenuating enclosure. The project also includes six-foot privacy fencing around the site, decorative landscaping in the building’s front yard, sidewalk replacement/widening along the site’s perimeter and demolition of the existing lift station.
Construction is expected to start early next year and take about 18 months to complete. Impacts to residents will include temporary traffic rerouting and noise typical of construction projects. If you would like project updates, email LloydNichole@CODB.us with your name and contact information.
