From working with developers, leveraging partnerships and seeking alternative funding sources, the city has taken significant steps to address the shortage of affordable housing throughout Daytona Beach.
A Linkage Fee Study was commissioned in August 2022 to determine ways new development could assist in the goal of private sector support of affordable housing to mitigate ongoing demand. A community workshop is scheduled at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 29 at City Hall, 301 S. Ridgewood Ave. We welcome the public’s feedback on potential methods and policies to further encourage and support the creation of additional affordable units through implementation of the Linkage Fee Study.
