A project to regrade the softball fields, install new fencing, reconfigure the parking area and add exterior lighting is underway at Sunnyland Recreation Center. Located on Washington Street just off of Mason Avenue, the center is home to Bethune-Cookman University’s women’s softball team and offers many youth activities. The $150,000 project is scheduled to be complete by early July.
The park remains open; however, the center is closed while the work is being done. The center will reopen June 6.
