WEB_FDOT meeting_March 30 2022

There is a meeting Wednesday, March 30, at the Volusia County Beach Safety Headquarters, 515 S. Atlantic Ave. in Daytona Beach for residents to learn about the Florida Department of Transportation’s project to improve International Speedway Boulevard (U.S. 92) from the Halifax River Bridge to State Road A1A. The project intends to enhance pedestrian safety and improve traffic operations along the busy thoroughfare. After a public hearing in Oct. 202, FDOT revised the plans to address community concerns and the revised will be presented at the March 30 meeting.

To accommodate the public, FDOT is offering multiple ways to learn about the project and provide feedback:

  • In-Person Open House Option: People can stop by the Volusia County Beach Safety Headquarters, 515 S. Atlantic Ave. in Daytona Beach any time between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 30 to view a looping presentation and project displays, speak with project team members and submit comments or questions.
  • Virtual Option: Interested persons may join the Virtual Public Meeting (VPM) from a computer, tablet or mobile device. A VPM is a free live presentation or webinar over the internet. For this option, advance registration is required by visiting this website. Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting online. (Please note, Internet Explorer cannot be used to register or attend this webinar. If joining online, please allow adequate time to log in to view the presentation in its entirety.)
  • Phone Option (Listen Only): Participants may join the meeting in listen-only mode by dialing 415-655-0060 and entering the passcode 562-571-963 when prompted.

Meeting materials, including the presentation, is available on this website
