This year the city has partnered with the Midtown Community Development Corporation again to recognize 16 Black pioneers with street banners in February that will be displayed on International Speedway Boulevard from Nova Road to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Pioneers being recognized include:

Photography exhibit featuring locals opens at OneDaytona
Kenneth Grant Inzpirations is hosting its second annual “rePresent” photography exhibit through Wednesday, Feb. 9, at OneDaytona. The exhibit features the beauty of Black people in our local community and is open from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The exhibit is located at OneDaytona in Suite G600 between Pink Narcissus and GameTime.
