Daytona Beach's youth basketball league is now open for registration for boys and girls ages 4 to 17. A free skills clinic will be held the first week of November for ages 6 to 17 at the Midtown Cultural and Educational Center at 925 George W. Engram Blvd. The clinic starts at 5:15 p.m. The player draft will be at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 15 through Nov 17 at the Midtown Cultural and Educational Center. Practices will begin Nov. 22, followed by games starting Dec. 4 and will continue through Feb. 12. The registration fee is $40.

Through the league, kids ages 4 to 12 will focus on the main fundamentals of basketball (defense, shooting and passing). Teens will be divided by skill level and trained as competitive athletes.
