City of Daytona Beach to raise Purple Heart Flag in honor of National Purple Heart Day with a special dedication presented by Mayor Derrick Henry to all Purple Heart recipients.
Join us at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 6, on the steps of Daytona Beach City Hall for a National Purple Heart Day Flag raising ceremony to honor the sacrifices of men and women who have been wounded or killed while serving in the U. S. military. The Purple Heart is the oldest military award still presented to American service members. City Hall is at 301 S. Ridgewood Ave. in Daytona Beach.
The ceremony is being organized by the Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 316 and Marine Corps League Daytona.
