The city’s COVID-19 emergency declaration, which suspended disconnections and late fees, has expired. Therefore, disconnection for nonpayment will resume. Electric and water assistance is available to eligible low-income households who have a past-due balance on their utility account. Persons may schedule an appointment with a case worker by calling (386) 239-7757.
OUR Florida Program
The state has launched the OUR (Opportunities for Utilities and Rental Assistance) Florida Program, which is its federally-funded emergency rental assistance relief program to support residents and businesses. The program provides renters who qualify with relief on unpaid rent and utility bills, and supports landlords with relief on lost revenue to support their continued recovery.
