Deric Feacher, 44, was selected to become Daytona Beach’s next city manager at this evening’s special City Commission meeting. Over the next several weeks, an employment agreement will be negotiated with Feacher, who will replace retiring City Manager Jim Chisholm. Feacher, a graduate of Bethune-Cookman University, has 20 years of senior level experience working in local government. He was selected after a national recruitment and selection process which involved feedback from community members. Feacher lists his strengths as strategic planning, organizational management and development, collection problem solving, interpersonal relations, team building, community relations fiscal management and communications.
