The City of Daytona Beach is accepting applications for a new city manager as its current manager will be retiring in the spring. Slavin Management Consultants has been hired to conduct the search, and the position will remain open until filled. The hiring process will move forward once a sufficient number of qualified applicants is received. The job posting is available online at Slavin Management Consultants’ website

Requirements

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree (master’s degree preferred) in public or business administration, urban planning or a related field. Experience with tourism-based communities, downtown revitalization and economic development is desired.  

Ideal candidates will be proactive and fully-experienced leaders with proven track records of success. They should be able to demonstrate through their experiences a thorough understanding and appreciation for the commission-manager form of government. Candidates should also have comprehensive knowledge, skills and abilities in municipal finance and budgeting, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
