Patrol

These are the officers you usually see on the streets day and night. Many of those officers also work in the specialized units listed on this page.

Most of our officers are placed into a platoon which works in one of the city’s two districts. The dividing line is the Florida East Coast (FEC) railroad tracks which runs parallel to U.S. 1/Ridgewood Avenue.

District 1

Everything west of the FEC tracks (including Daytona International Speedway).

District 2

Everything east of the FEC tracks (including the areas around the Halifax River/Intracoastal Waterway and all of beachside).
