Established in 1998, the Citizens On Patrol (COP) is an enhanced mobile "Neighborhood Watch" group that patrols, observes and reports suspicious activities.
It's made up of men and women who volunteer their time to be an extra set of eyes and ears for law enforcement.
COP's have to be at least 19 years old. They are not required to be a resident of Daytona Beach.
To perform crime watch activities, alert the Police Department of hazards and unlawful behavior and provide assistance to DBPD officers when requested.
Demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism. Be polite and courteous to the general public at all times.
