Candidate Forum

Public input sought at city’s candidate forum March 20

A candidate forum was held Saturday, March 20, at the Midtown Cultural & Educational Center as part of the process of hiring the new city manager. Finalists had an opportunity to meet and answer questions from the public at the forum. Each finalist spoke to a group of attendees who were asked to select their priority for presentation topics – Budget & Management, Business, Neighborhood Improvement/Public Safety. Attendees were separated into individual areas depending on their priority preference and candidates rotated between rooms. In addition, each candidate participated in a virtual meeting with the public.
