Please be advised the Florida Department of Transportation has postponed the public hearing regarding proposed corridor improvements along International Speedway Boulevard (U.S. 92) from the Halifax River bridge to S.R. A1A in Volusia County (see map). Information about a new date, time, and location for the hearing will be shared as details become available.
While the Department works to reschedule the hearing, updated project information will be made available on the project web page at www.cflroads.com/437942-1 by March 31 to allow the community to learn more about the proposed plans.
FDOT is seeking input and feedback on the proposed design. The proposed improvements include construction of a roundabout to replace the existing signal at the intersection of International Speedway Boulevard and S.R. A1A, as well as widening International Speedway Boulevard to provide wider travel lanes and a raised median. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant sidewalks and curb ramps will be incorporated throughout the corridor. Additionally, signals will be reconstructed at Halifax Avenue, Peninsula Drive and Grandview Avenue. This design project is scheduled for completion in late 2020. Right of way acquisition is currently funded in Fiscal Year 2021, and construction is currently funded in Fiscal Year 2023.
We encourage you and your constituents to please contact FDOT Project Manager Kathleen Enot at 386-943-5149 or by email at Kathleen.Enot@dot.state.fl.us with any questions.
