Are you BearWise? Bear-resistant trash cans available to Daytona Beach residents

To reduce the potential for human-bear conflicts, the City of Daytona Beach partnered with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) to provide highly discounted, bear-proof trash cans to its residents. Cost per 95-gallon toter is $50.

Road work on Nova Road from Beville to ISB

Road work has begun to resurface and make additional improvements to a 2-mile stretch of Nova Road from Beville Rd. to International Speedway Blvd. The $3.1 million project will be completed in early 2018. Lane closures will be required.
